⭐⭐⭐

Greetings!!!

I hope this post finds you well.

As the new year approaches, I've taken the initiative to tidy up my profile:

  • I have created playlists to categorise everything by type.
  • Personalised thumbnails have been added to make everything come together.
  • Several old pieces have been remastered for a more cohesive look.
  • I have edited my submissions so that they all follow the same format.
  • I am still planning on updating the look of my profile too, but I would need to finish my most ambitious illustration as of yet. Nevertheless, my page has already undergone a few tweaks.

You can probably tell, I have spent a lot of time working on my profile. Now, wouldn't it warrant checking it out, eh? That would be class. However, these improvements haven't come without trade-offs. I've chosen to unpublish pieces that no longer align with my artistic identity; I believe they do not deserve their own entries anymore. Still, a few of them can be remastered and reposted down the line. I am mostly speaking of my pixel art, which somewhat holds up.

My challenge lies in handling illustrations I no longer wish to display on my art list but still want accessible for preservation purposes. Note that this preservation project would include both pieces once posted on Newgrounds and pieces only my earliest online acquaintances would remember; so, exclusive stuff, basically. Additionally, there's the issue of sketches; no, not what I call "sketchy pieces" on my profile. I am speaking of actual sketches. I wouldn't want them flooding my profile either.

In summary:

  • I want to remaster a few old pieces that still belong on my profile.
  • I'm seeking an easy and streamlined way to archive my old to very old art for online access.
  • I want to showcase my sketches and WIPs without overshadowing my other pieces.

How should I go about it? That's where I need your input. Would a Google/Mega/whatever document linked to a blog post suffice? Should I start making posts dedicated to sketches just like my friends do? What approach would you take if you were in my shoes?

I would greatly appreciate your insights.

Switching gears, I want to be more present here and not just use my page as a dumping ground for fancy pieces. I want to turn it into a window into my artistic journey and life. I am working on a lot of projects, which I would love to tell you about.

Now, wouldn't that warrant checking out my profile? That would be class.²

I am also very open to receiving and sending DMs. I do not know a lot of people on Newgrounds, and changing that would be nice. 2023 has been a terribly lonely year.

I've got a Discord server, however, which is cool and good!!!

Thank you for reading; thank you even more for taking the time to respond.

Sincerely,

Maxime.

I don't know, have these, I guess.
